William Shehy
“ I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that don’t work.”
I believe mindset can be a game changer, and that even the toughest situations can be approached from a place of strength. Challenges do not define who we are, but they can reveal our resilience and capacity to grow. My passion for this work comes from the belief that each of us has untapped potential, and sometimes it simply takes support, encouragement, and the right tools to uncover it. I see counseling as a partnership where, together, we can explore new perspectives, build on existing strengths, and discover meaningful ways forward.
I help people uncover the reasons they may be feeling “off” or disconnected. My focus is on helping clients become emotionally stronger by staying present and recognizing that each day carries its own challenges and opportunities. While we cannot change the past, it can serve as a teacher by showing us what has been effective and what has been less helpful, so that we can move forward with greater clarity and purpose.
On a Personal Note
As a 20-year Army Veteran, I’ve experienced the unique challenges of military life firsthand. Those experiences, combined with my time as a school counselor, have shaped my perspective and given me a deep respect for the struggles that affect not only individuals but entire families. These roles have instilled in me a commitment to meeting people where they are, honoring their stories, and walking alongside them with compassion.
My faith and family are the foundation of my life, and outside of the office I enjoy traveling, discovering new places, and spending quality time with loved ones.
