“Stop trying to control how you feel, and instead take control of what you do.”
Does it ever feel like you are so stuck in your head that you can’t be present in your real life? Maybe your automatic thoughts, feelings, and patterns of behavior are getting in the way of how YOU want to live YOUR life. In some ways, it may feel like you don’t know yourself apart from the ways you experience or avoid difficult feelings of fear, sadness, anger, or guilt.
That’s where therapy comes in! A trusting and goal-directed relationship with a therapist can be a great place to start:
Letting go of unhelpful patterns
Building a better relationship with yourself and those around you
Creating a present and embodied life that aligns with what YOU care about
As a therapist with a social work background, I am committed to providing a space for clients to show up as exactly who they are and want to be. I acknowledge the systems that influence each client, and I strive to provide the most culturally competent care possible.
On a Personal Note:
Outside of being a therapist, I prioritize spending time with my friends and family. I also love crafting, making music, and adventuring. As a retired theater kid, I love seeing any kind of live performance and am always down to talk about music, movies, and art with my clients. Don’t be afraid to bring your sense of humor, your uniqueness, and your special interests to our sessions: social connection is the name of the game!
