I believe counseling is a space where people can reconnect with themselves, heal, and rediscover hope. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel truly seen and heard. I view therapy as a partnership that helps people recognize their strengths, develop self-awareness, and make meaningful changes that support growth and emotional well-being.

My Why

I have always been passionate about helping individuals and families grow, connect, and thrive. Over the years, I’ve seen how small moments of understanding can lead to powerful transformation, and that continues to inspire me every day.

Professional Background

I am a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with more than 12 years of experience working with children, teens, and families. Before joining Sunrise Counseling Services, I served as a Professional Development Manager and a Crisis Prevention Institute Certified Instructor. My background in behavioral analysis and counseling allows me to combine structure and empathy, helping clients identify patterns, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Psychology, Austin Peay State University

  • Master of Counseling Psychology, Tennessee State University

About Me

I was born in Wiesbaden, Germany to military parents and have lived in the Clarksville/Fort Campbell area since I was two months old. Growing up in a military family taught me resilience and gave me firsthand understanding of the unique challenges that military life can bring.

My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I believe that every person’s story is unique, and I strive to meet clients where they are, offering support, insight, and encouragement as they work toward their goals.

Specialties and Modalities

I specialize in supporting children, teens, and adults through evidence-based and behavioral approaches that foster emotional regulation, self-awareness, and healthy relationships. I work with neurodiverse clients, individuals experiencing anxiety or stress, and families navigating transitions.

My therapeutic style integrates behavioral strategies with mindfulness, solution-focused techniques, and person-centered counseling to help clients build resilience and meaningful connection.

Outside the Office

My husband and I have four children and thirteen pets who keep our home full of love and laughter. We enjoy traveling together, especially to the beaches of Florida or the mountains of Gatlinburg. When I have downtime, I love listening to music and playing video games.
