The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.
— Carl Rogers

As a counselor, I view therapy as an opportunity for individuals to explore and understand themselves on a deeper level. At times, it can be easy to feel stuck in patterns of thinking, feeling, or behaving without fully realizing how those patterns may affect our lives. In the therapeutic space, my goal is to provide a supportive and grounded presence where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, gain insight, and begin creating meaningful change.

I strive to create an environment that is compassionate, collaborative, and non-judgmental while also encouraging growth and self-reflection. Through building a genuine therapeutic connection, I work alongside clients to help them identify barriers, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life.

My Why

What motivates me in this work is the opportunity to help individuals recognize patterns that may be holding them back and support them in creating meaningful change. I believe that when people gain greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, they can begin to make choices that align more closely with the life they want to live. Being part of that process of growth and transformation is what makes this work so meaningful to me.

On a Personal Note

I am originally from Florida and enjoy being in Tennessee with all the seasons. Outside of my work and studies, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three children. Family is incredibly important to me, and I value the time we spend together creating meaningful memories. One of my favorite hobbies is working on puzzles, which I enjoy because they remind me that even complex challenges can be solved one piece at a time.

Areas of Specialty & Therapeutic Approach

I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients in identifying unhelpful thought patterns, developing healthier coping strategies, and building emotional regulation skills. These approaches help clients increase self-awareness, strengthen coping abilities, and make meaningful changes that align with their values and goals.

I have experience working with individuals with disabilities and value creating a supportive, inclusive environment where all clients feel respected and understood. I enjoy working with a variety of individuals and strive to meet each client where they are, tailoring my approach to support their unique needs and experiences.
